2003 Jenny Sets New American Masters Record At The Chicago Marathon

Completely unaware of what she had just accomplished until the press conference after the race, Jenny Spangler crosses the finish line strong and sets a new American Masters Record with an official time of 2:32:38. The record stands for just one year, but gives her the unique distinction of being the only American ever, male or female, at any distance, to hold both a national junior record and a national masters record at the same time.
